LUX HOTEL
This Project was to redesign a hotel room at Humber Colleges new Hotel. The goal of this was to recreate a room inspired by textures and a painting. With the use of natural textures such as cement and wood we were able to achieve this while also creating a modern neutral space for guests to sleep. This hotel room was Inspired by Edward Burtynksy painting.

This was the painting that I was inspired by for this project. Edward Burtynksy is one of the worlds most accomplished contemporary photographers, his main theme is nature transformed through industry, often using an aerial vantage point. His art is rich in detail and often looks abstract.
THE ORIGINAL SPACE AND ANALYSIS

This was the original space in the hotel that I was given to work with. As you can see from the images it had little to nothing and was incomplete. This gave me the opportunity to do whatever I wanted to this room since it was not completely furnished. The room had large windows which incorporated lots of natural light into the space so I made sure to take advantage of that in my design.
